Microsoft Windows 7等都是美国微软（Microsoft）公司发布的一系列操作系统。Windows Domain Name System（DNS）是其中的一套Windows域名系统。Microsoft Windows DNS DNSAPI.dll中存在拒绝服务漏洞，该漏洞源于程序未能正确的处理DNS响应。攻击者可利用该漏洞造成系统停止响应。
