Valve Steam是美国Valve公司的一套基于Linux的用于客厅游戏的操作系统。client detection protocol是其中的一个客户端检测协议。

Valve Steam的client detection protocol中存在安全漏洞。远程攻击者可通过向广播数据包发送特制的响应利用该漏洞造成拒绝服务（进程崩溃）。
